THE LEARNING LIBRARY

Welcome!  I'm Christine Potter, a librarian and student in the Digital Learning and Leading program at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  I'm passionate about incorporating new technology into my library and my lessons, and this site documents my successes (and failures) in that process.

I've spent the last 17 years working as a middle school librarian.  Translation:  I have a (possibly unhealthy) obsession with YA lit, have a high tolerance for weird smells, and have learned countless ways to thwart an internet filter.  I'm also a mom of three, the owner of one dog (at least we think he's a dog; he might actually be part velociraptor), and a baker of all things chocolate.
